Informacje dot. Zebrania Wyborczego w dniu 8 listopada 2020 r.

Szanowni Członkowie Polskiego Klubu w Denver:

Zebranie wyborcze odbędzie się w niedzielę 8-go listopada b.r. w budynku Klubu, jak również w formacie wirtualno – telefonicznym.  

UWAGA: W świetle obowiązujących obecnie obostrzeń dot. zgromadzeń, w budynku Klubu może jednorazowo przebywać TYLKO 25 osób. Jest to informacja potwierdzona przez miasto Denver, w którym znajduje się budynek Klubu. 

W dniu 8 listopada, poza Zarządem oraz członkami Komisji Nominacyjnej i Wyborczej, na sali będzie mogło przebywać dodatkowo jedynie 16 osób.

Członków chcących wziąć udział w zebraniu osobiście, prosimy o email lub telefon w celu zapisania się na listę.

Informujemy, iż pierwszeństwo będą mieli członkowie powyżej 65 roku życia. Goście lub osoby niezrzeszone będą mogły wziąć udział w zebraniu dopiero w przypadku zaistnienia wolnych miejsc, nie zajętych przez członków.

W jaki sposób odbedzie się liczenie głosów na Prezesa i Wice Prezesa? 

Regulamin Polskiego Klubu w Denver, ARTYKUŁ IV – WYBORY, Par. 1. b) Nie ma tajnego liczenia głosów. Obliczanie głosów odbywa się publicznie. Nazwiska kandydatów odczytane są z kart wyborczych w obecności głosujących członków, a głosy są zaznaczane kreskami na tablicy przez Komitet Wyborczy. 

Liczenie głosów przez Komisje Wyborczą odbedzię sie jawnie, i rozpocznie sie o godz 15:00. 

Cała procedura będzie transmitowana wirtualnie online oraz telefonicznie.

W dniu 8 listopada wybierzemy Prezesa i Wice Prezesa Polskiego Klubu w Denver. Decyzją członków na październikowym zebraniu członkowskim, wybory na pozostałe stanowiska w Zarządzie, odbędą się 13 grudnia w godz. 14:00-16:00.

Information for the November 8^th, 2020 member’s meeting and election of the President and Vice President of the Polish Club of Denver.

Dear Members of the Polish Club of Denver:

The election members’ meeting will take place on Sunday, November 8^th, 2020, in the hours of 2:00pm to 4:00 pm, in the Club’s building, virtually and by phone. Due to increased restrictions in the City and County of Denver, maximum of 25 people can be in the Club building at any time. This information was obtained by contacting City and County of Denver, where the Club is located.

Accounting for the current Club Board, the Nominating Committee and Election Committee, only additional 16 people can be in the building during the election members’ meeting on November 8^th.

Anybody interested in attending the meeting in person, must contact us by email or phone call to register.

Member’s in good standing, older than 65 will be given priority. Guests, non-members and members not in good standing will only be allowed into the building if the 25 spots are not filled by members in good standing.

All those who will be allowed to attend the meeting in person at the Club will be notified before the meeting.

We request all to respect current rules and regulations in the City and County of Denver, not congregate outside of the building and not attempt to enter the building without first registering to do so and getting confirmation from the Club board. Those who will be allowed into the building must maintain social distancing and wear a mask.

Not respecting the current rules and regulations of the City and County of Denver, will force the board to take appropriate actions to correct the situation (including calling the police) to prevent the Club from being fined.

Instructions for dropping of the ballot at the Club

For those wishing to deliver their ballots in person, the ballots can be dropped off on Sunday, November the 8^th, 2020 in the hours between 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm MST by depositing the ballots in the Clubs mail slot.

The mail slot is located on the wall of the Club building along Alameda Avenue.

President and Vice-president Ballot count information

BYLAWS, ARTICLE IV – VOTING

Sec.1. Voting on elected officers shall be by ballot only:

1. Each officer position shall be voted separately and must be concluded before voting on the next office position.
2. There will be no secrecy in counting votes. The count shall be open and in front of members. As each ballot is opened, the recipient of the vote shall be announced, and a tally will be kept by the Election Committee and, also, be posted on the blackboard for members to witness.
3. A member of the Election Committee shall announce results of a vote in the following manner:
4. The entire number of votes cast is … … … .
5. The number necessary for election is………. (majority vote of all members in attendance).
6. Each candidate is named and the number of votes received.
7. Name the candidate receiving the required number of votes as being elected.

The counting of the votes will be conducted in front of the members present at the Club building and streamed live with members attending online and by phone on November 8^th, 2020 starting at 3:00 pm.

The count will also be shown virtually, and can be listened to on the phone

Election of the other members of the Board of the Polish Club of Denver

During the members meeting held on October 11^th, 2020, the members decided that the election of the remaining members of the Board will be held on December 13^th, 2020 in the hours between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm

The nominating committee is currently accepting candidates for the following positions on the Board: Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant-At-Arms, Membership Director, Public Relations Director, Program Director, Social Director, Supplies Director, Building Director, Rental Director and Library Director.

Members in good standing interested in any of the above positions are asked to submit their candidacy to the nominating committee by 4:30pm on November 8^th, 2020. Candidacy can be submitted by mail, email, or by phone as follows.

By mail: letter containing fist and last name of the candidate, position running for, mailed to Polish Club of Denver; Nominating Committee; 3121 W Alameda Ave; Denver, CO 80219. The letter must be received by the Nominating committee by 4:30pm on November 8^th 2020.

Zgodnie z ustaleniami z pazdziernikowego zebrania członków w dniu 10.11.2020r., Komisja Wyborcza rozesłała do wszystkich pełnoprawnych członków Klubu karty do głosowania (ballots). Prosimy o zwrócenie kart do dnia 8 listopada do godz. 15:00. Osoby, które nie otrzymaja kart do środy 10/21/2020, prosimy o kontakt z Komisją Wyborczą pod numer: 720-284-8800 lub 720-530-3283.

Liczenie głosów odbędzie się publicznie w dniu 8 listopada w godzinach 15:00 do 16:00.

Mayor Michael Hancock and Denver Department of Public Health & Environment Robert McDonald warned the community of a continued increase in COVID-19. COVID-19 cases are on the rise in Denver and Denver County and the 7-day average case rate is as high as they were at the height of the pandemic in May. Both Robert McDonald and the Mayor reiterated that this trend could mean new restrictions and stricter orders.

Mayor Hancock: “Wear a mask and avoid gathering in large groups. We need people to stay home as much as possible. If our numbers keep going in the direction they’re going, we could be forced to go back to a Level 3, which would mean business capacities, restaurant capacities, event spaces will get cut in half.”

Szanowni Państwo,

Zgodnie z Konstytucją Polskiego Klubu w Denver, w listopadzie b.r., odbędą się wybory na Prezesa i Vice Prezesa Klubu. According to the Constitution of the Polish Club of Denver, in November this year, elections for the President and Vice President of the Club will be held. Pursuant to the regulations in force, persons desiring to run for the above-mentioned positions must submit their candidatures at the September meeting of members at the latest. At the September meeting, the Election and Nominating Committees responsible for the efficient conduct of the elections will also be chosen.
